No. 5 North Georgia Set to Host Southeast Regional

DAHLONEGA - Practice day is in the books and play starts tomorrow at the 2022 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Southeast Regional inside the University of North Georgia's Convocation Center at noon.

The fifth-ranked and top-seeded Nighthawks will play at 5 p.m. against eighth-seeded Columbus State. The Peach Belt Conference regular season and tournament champions will look to win their fourth game against the Cougars in the opening round and remain unbeaten in opening round games in UNG's history in NCAA tournament games.

Tickets are still on sale at UNGAthletics.com/TICKETS. Tickets are $10 each with seniors (65+), military members and students getting a discounted rate of $7. All games and postgame press conferences will also be carried on the Nighthawk Sports Network.

Friday's schedule will begin with Conference Carolinas champion Barton battling PBC at-large selection Georgia Southwestern at noon. At 2:30, South Atlantic at-large bid Catawba will take on PBC at-large Lander. After UNG and Columbus State meet at 5 p.m., SAC champion Carson-Newman will look to take down Wingate for the first time this season in the nightcap at 7:30.
