DAHLONEGA - The University of North Georgia men's basketball team won decisively over Clayton State Wednesday night, 83-65.
The Lakers and Nighthawks traded baskets early on before North Georgia went on an 18-1 run midway through the first half to seize control of the game. UNG led by 23 at halftime and as many as 29 points in the game before Clayton State trimmed the lead back to as few as 13 late.

Kody Shubert led UNG with 20 points, while
Frank Champion recorded a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Eric Jones added 14 points.
- The Nighthawks shot nearly 54 percent from the floor while holding Clayton State to just 36 percent.
- UNG outscored CSU in the paint, 42-26.
