DAHLONEGA - After a back-and-forth game, the University of North Georgia men's basketball team was on the short end of an 84-79 decision to Young Harris Wednesday night.
Neither team held more than a six point lead in the first half as the Mountain Lions finished on a 7-2 stretch to take a three point lead into the locker room, 37-34. North Georgia retook the lead and led by eight, 60-52, with 10:39 left before YHC went on a 9-0 run over the next two minutes to retake the lead themselves.
The two sides continued the back-and-forth affair until Young Harris took the lead for good at the 7:30 mark with the beginnings of a 7-0 run. UNG trimmed the lead down to as few as three on a couple of occasions, but could get no closer.

Malik Hardy paced UNG with 18 points, followed right behind by
Zach Brown with 17.
Kody Shubert added 12, while
Frank Champion had a near triple-double with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
- YHC led in the paint, 42-30.
- There were 16 lead changes and nine ties in the game.
