Nighthawks Finish Sixth at NCAA DII Southeast Regional

WINGATE, N.C. – A sixth-place finish at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional for the University of North Georgia women's cross country team completes their 2022 season. Karmen LeRoy led the Nighthawks across the line, finishing in 20th place overall out of 147 runners with a time of 22:57.58. 

Val Angel finished with a time of 23:00.13, good enough to cross the finish line in 23rd place. The duo earned All-Region honors by virtue of their top-25 finishes.

Claire Mills finished in 32nd with a time of 23:17.61. Emily McBride crossed the line six seconds later to finish in 38th with a time of 23:26.85. Anna Chasteen rounded out the scoring Nighthawks with a time of 24:23.14 to finish in 63rd place. 

The Nighthawks complete the season as Peach Belt Conference runner-ups and took home team titles in four different races.
