WINGATE, N.C. – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's cross country team concluded its 2025 season Saturday morning at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional, placing 10th overall in a deep and competitive 24-team field.
North Georgia was paced by
Ahna Hicks, who led the Nighthawks with a 42nd-place finish in a time of 23:50 on the 6K course.
Jordan Starling crossed just behind her in 45th (23:52), while
Tessie Braman followed in 46th (23:52) to give head coach
Chris England three runners inside the top 50.
Rounding out the Nighthawks' scoring five were
Maggie Welp in 58th (24:06.20) and Addison Martin in 96th (25:06). The pack effort gave North Georgia a total of 285 points, placing the Nighthawks just behind Carson-Newman (277) and ahead of Lenoir-Rhyne (327)
Top-ranked Wingate captured the regional championship with 29 points, followed by Catawba (45) and Flagler (88).
The meet marked the final race of the fall for North Georgia, which is the 11
th top-10 regionals finish in the past 12 seasons.
