DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia men's soccer team tied visiting Georgia Southwestern 4-4 at the UNG Soccer Field at Lynn Cottrell Park. An aggressive attack in the second half allowed the Hurricanes to erase a four-goal lead.
Harris Osmanbasic opened up the scoring for the Nighthawks with a goal assisted by
Alejandro DeVillena in the third minute.
Will Bentley put a second goal on the board late in the first half for the Nighthawks, assisted by
Mikail Prince.
The Nighthawks took a 3-0 lead in the 52nd minute via a solo goal by
Benjamin Elgueta.
Tyler Vitelli put the fourth goal in the back of the net minutes later, but that would be all for the Nighthawks for the rest of the match.
As the game progressed, the Hurricanes came alive, starting with a goal in the 59th minute by Cole Davison. GSW found the back of the net with three straight goals from Lucas Bedleg, Chris Salamatou and Damean Dominguez.
