This Week in Nighthawk Athletics Volume 18: January 10

DAHLONEGA - The University of North Georgia Department of Athletics looks ahead to a pair of road doubleheaders for the men's and women's basketball teams in Peach Belt Conference play. This season's weekly preview is presented by Northeast Georgia Health System, the official healthcare partner of UNG Nighthawk Athletics.

Single game and season tickets are available for all home events. All home events will be broadcast live courtesy of the Nighthawk Sports Network

The women's basketball team went 2-0 against two Peach Belt foes last week, taking down Georgia Southwestern Wednesday before a 69-68 win over No. 3 Lander Saturday afternoon.
This week, North Georgia will travel to Clayton State on Wednesday before taking on Georgia College Saturday afternoon. UNG has seen Clayton State this season while playing in the UNG Nighthawk Classic back in November, while the Nighthawks knocked off the Bobcats back in December at home.
After a 2-0 week last week to get back to .500 in the Peach Belt, the men's basketball team now turns its attention to two road games this week at Clayton State and Georgia College.
North Georgia and Clayton State will meet for the first time this season with UNG riding a three game winning streak in the series. Georgia College defeated the Nighthawks back in December, 58-52.
