DAHLONEGA - Abbie Crane scored in the 76th minute, but it was not enough as the No. 10 University of North Georgia women's soccer team fell Tuesday to Columbus State in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament semifinals, 2-1.
The Cougars jumped on the board in the 15th minute as Parker Morgan scored off a Vanessa Aviles pass. Seven minutes later, Aviles took a loose ball and slipped it into the back of the net to give CSU a 2-0 lead.
North Georgia cut the lead in half in the 76th minute as
Taylor Malasek found Crane to make the score 2-1, but the Cougars held tight, not allowing another shot by UNG to advance to the championship game.

- In the other semifinal, No. 3 Flagler beat UNC Pembroke, 2-1.
