DAHLONEGA - Katey Derkay scored in the 19th minute as the University of North Georgia women's soccer team dispatched Young Harris Monday night, 1-0, in the UNG Soccer Complex at Lynn Cottrell Park.
Derkay took a rebound from an
Abbie Crane shot and pushed it into an open net for the lone goal of the match. From there, the Nighthawk defense took over, allowing just one Mountain Lion shot after halftime.
NOTES
- The Nighthawks outshot YHC overall, 14-5, including an 11-1 advantage in the second half. Young Harris's goalkeeper Pien Van Kampen made seven saves between the posts.

Morgan Ramby faced just one shot on target and made the save, earning her 14th clean sheet in a Nighthawk uniform.
- UNG's 12 corner kicks marked the fourth time since the 2018 season that the Nighthawks have taken that many.
