Arnold Homers Twice as Baseball Defeats Augusta, 10-5

DAHLONEGA - Jake Arnold hit two homers, bringing home two runs each time, as the University of North Georgia baseball team took game one against Augusta Friday night, 10-5.

Andres Perez got UNG on the board in the bottom of the first with a two-run blast, but the Jaguars answered with a run in the second to cut the lead in half. Arnold hit his first homer of the night in the bottom of the second to stretch the Nighthawk lead to 4-1.

After two Jaguar runs in the third and one in the sixth tied the game at 4-4, North Georgia put up six in the bottom of the sixth, two each off a Will Hardigree RBI single, Arnold's second homer of the night and a Bill LeRoy double down the right field line. Augusta scored on a solo homer in the eighth to get to the final score.
