North Georgia saw its eight game winning streak snapped Saturday at the hands of Flagler, 1-0, after a 2-0 win at Lander earlier in the week.

The Nighthawks have their hands full Wednesday as they play host to No. 2 Columbus State at 5 p.m. The game will also serve as Make-A-Wish Night. CSU is 12-1-1 on the year with their lone loss coming a week ago to No. 20 Florida Tech.

UNG will then hit the road to take on Clayton State Saturday. The Lakers, coming off a loss to Columbus State, currently sit at 3-6-1 overall and 3-3 in league play ahead of a matchup with Georgia College.

North Georgia went 0-1-1 last week, taking a 2-2 draw from No. 10 Young Harris before a 3-2 double overtime loss at Georgia Southwestern.

The Nighthawks will open up the week with a non-conference match against Anderson Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. The Trojans are 9-2-1 on the season at this point.

UNG will continue its home stand with a Saturday match against Flagler at 1 p.m. The Nighthawks dropped a shootout earlier this month to the Saints, 5-3, after trailing 3-0 and coming back to tie the match 3-3.

After Vaishali Jorge and Johanna Lippert wrapped up their run at ITA Cup, the entire women's tennis team will be back on the courts this weekend at the Brenau Fall Invitational in nearby Gainesville.

The men's tennis team will host the UNG Tennis Fall Invitational this weekend at the UNG Tennis Complex at Yahoola Creek. Welcoming in SCAD Atlanta, Emmanuel, Belmont Abbey and Reinhardt, the event will take place Friday and Saturday.

After a third place finish this past weekend at the Berry Invitational, the Nighthawk cross country team readies for the Peach Belt Conference Championships Saturday morning at Bouckaert Farm in Fairburn, Georgia.

North Georgia finished as the second fastest non-Division I team on the course earlier this season in the Asics Cross Country Invitational, trailing behind Flagler.

North Georgia defeated VMI Saturday, putting up an aggregate score of 4591 to win by nearly 70 points.

The 20th-ranked Nighthawks now turn their attention to a Southern Conference matchup at Wofford Saturday. The Terriers will be opening the 2021-22 season Saturday after their opening two matches this season were either canceled or postponed.

The Nighthawk softball team wraps up the fall slate Sunday when they travel to Clemson. The doubleheader will begin at noon.
