DAHLONEGA - Sitting at 4-0 on the year, the No. 12 University of North Georgia women's basketball team is set to hit the road for two games this week at Columbus State and No. 6 Lander. In addition, the Nighthawks have rescheduled the Francis Marion game originally scheduled for January 16 for a 3 p.m. tip on January 25 inside the UNG Convocation Center.
The Nighthawks are coming off a 67-56 win over Flagler to open Peach Belt play on January 13. UNG got a double-double out of
Julianne Sutton to lead the way in the win, improving the nation's third-longest home winning streak to 30 games.
Columbus State is 2-1 on the year coming into Wednesday's game, led by Emilia Tenbrock's 17 points per contest. Fans will not be allowed inside the Lumpkin Center, but the game will be carried on the Peach Belt Sports Network, courtesy of Columbus State.
Lander, ranked sixth in the nation by D2SIDA, is 6-0 on the year and will not play until Saturday's showdown inside Finis Horne Arena. Reigning PBC Freshman of the Year Zamiya Passmore leads the Bearcats with 17 points per game in her five appearances this season.
