DAHLONEGA - Former University of North Georgia women's soccer player
Rosie Embley has signed to play for FC Malaga City Feminino, the team announced earlier this week.
FC Malaga City Feminino is based just east of Malaga, Spain, and competes in the Spanish 4th Tier. The team will regularly test themselves against a number of elite women's teams throughout the season including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla FC and more.
During her Nighthawk career, Embley scored 17 goals and had 19 assists from her midfielder position. The Wistaston, England, native played in 73 matches for the blue and white and is second all-time in penalties converted and third in career assists.
Rosie capped off her career at UNG by being named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Third Team after being named to the PBC Team of Academic Distinction three times and to the PBC Presidential Honor Roll three times as well.
