DAHLONEGA - Kara Groover notched a double-double of 10 points and 14 boards as the No. 13 University of North Georgia women's basketball team cruised to an 81-60 win over Augusta Wednesday night in the Convocation Center.
The Nighthawks never trailed in the game and were only tied once at 3-3 after both teams made their first shots from distance. North Georgia started the game on a 9-3 run, stretching the lead out to as many as 10 in the first period.
Augusta clawed back into the game in the second quarter, cutting the lead to 28-25 with 6:41 until halftime, but UNG answered by finishing the half on a 12-2 run and never looked back en route to the 21 point win.
NOTES
- Groover now has four double-doubles on the year.

Julianne Sutton led all scorers with 24 points, marking her 13th game of the year with 20+ points, including her sixth in the last eight games.
Imani Arnold finished with 18 points, while
Abbie Franklin was an assist shy of her fourth career double-double with 13 points and nine assists.
- UNG assisted on 26 of its 32 made baskets. The Nighthawks also outscored Augusta in the paint, 50-32.
