HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The University of North Georgia men's soccer team fell at the hands of Alabama Huntsville Friday night, 6-0.
The Chargers scored first on a corner kick from Vincente Arratia that found Khalil Bell for the goal in the 16th minute. UAH struck again 20 minutes later off a pass from Marten Nilop to Brayant Toro to double the Charger lead going into halftime.
Alabama Huntsville found the back of the net four times in the second half, including off another corner kick in the 83rd minute to earn their first win of 2019.
NOTES
- North Georgia got off 11 shots in the game, but they were able to put just two on frame, both saved by the Charger keeper. UAH fired 25 shots, 13 of which were on target.
Luis Lepervanche made seven saves in the match.
- The Nighthawks last gave up six goals against Palm Beach Atlantic on September 5, 2015. The Sailfish won that match by a 6-0 score.
