DAHLONEGA - The No. 12 University of North Georgia women's tennis team fell to No. 8 Columbus State, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at the UNG Tennis Complex.
Columbus State took doubles quickly, sweeping all three matches to earn the 1-0 lead. The Cougars took Nos. 2 and 3 singles quickly to take the lead to 3-0 before clinching the match at No. 4 singles with a straight set win.
The Nighthawks were unable to get a point in the singles matches, but
Adrienne Bofinger took her match at No. 1 singles to three sets, all three went at least to seven points. Bofinger fell in the match, 7-6, 5-7. 11-9.
UNG will take on Georgia Southwestern tomorrow at noon at the UNG Tennis Complex with Senior Day festivities to take place at 11:45 a.m.
