ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The No. 3 University of North Georgia softball team suffered a setback Friday as the Nighthawks were swept by Flagler.
GAME 1 - FC 1, UNG 0
Flagler won the game in walkoff fashion in the seventh on a Morgan Murphy triple after Natalie Murphy singled with one out in the inning.
North Georgia got two runners to second and a runner to third in the game but could not find a way to get one across.
Kylee Smith (19-2) took the loss, striking out eight along the way.
GAME 2 - FC 7, UNG 3
North Georgia struck first as
Marley Stowers scored on a
Lexi Duncan bunt and a Saint error, but Flagler took the lead for good in the second, plating two in the frame.
The Saints extended their lead to five by scoring four unearned runs in the inning, making the score 6-1 before UNG got one back in the fifth on a
Kristen Adkins RBI single. Stowers scored the game's final run with a homer in the seventh.

North Georgia's doubleheader with Georgia College has been postponed due to forecasted weather Sunday, so the next scheduled matchup is on Friday, April 19, against USC Aiken. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
