DAHLONEGA - With two outs in the seventh, the University of North Georgia baseball team scored all five of their runs to push past Flagler, 5-2, in the Peach Belt series finale Sunday afternoon.
Flagler got both of their runs in the fifth, the first on a leadoff solo shot by Sean Lawlor. Two batters later, Ja'Kobi Dasher hit a homer of his own to push the lead out to 2-0.
UNG started the seventh with a leadoff walk to
Jake Arnold. After two flyouts, the Nighthawks got a rally started with a walk to
Crews Taylor before
Chase Sudduth took the lead with one swing of the bat, crushing the ball to deep left to take a 3-2 lead.
North Georgia kept the rally going after a Saint pitching change, using a
Bill LeRoy single and a
Conner Corbitt double to put two on in front of
Nick Clarno. A two-RBI single for the sophomore to right field pushed the game to its final score.
