DAHLONEGA - Josh Profit homered in the third inning, but five errors came back to haunt the University of North Georgia baseball team as they fell to Flagler, 8-1, Saturday afternoon at Bob Stein Stadium.
The Saints got on the board first, using a Dillon Reed RBI single to put Flagler on top in the second inning, 1-0. UNG answered in the third with a Profit bomb to right, knotting the game up at 1-1.
Flagler took the lead for good in the sixth, scoring two unearned runs to take a 3-1 lead before blowing the game open in the seventh, scoring five runs off four hits and two errors in the frame.
NOTES
- Robert Girgis (2-0) earned the win, throwing 6.1 innings and striking out nine. He threw 116 pitches in the win. 
Daniel McCrary (1-1) was credited with the tough-luck loss, giving up two runs in 0.2 innings, neither of which were earned.
- 
Nick Clarno led the Nighthawks at the plate, going 3-for-4 on the day.
