No. 24 Women's Basketball Overcomes Clayton State's Pressure to Win, 69-57

MORROW, Ga. - Despite turning the ball over 26 times, the No. 24 University of North Georgia women's basketball team did enough to defeat Clayton State, 69-57, Wednesday night.

The Nighthawks led for all but 1:10 in the game after scoring the first seven points. The Lakers kept the game close throughout the night and took a 43-41 lead, their only lead of the night, near the end of the third quarter, but UNG scored the final nine points of the period and kept the lead for the remainder of the game.

NOTES
- With three games to play, the Nighthawks have clinched a top-three seed and will host a PBC Tournament quarterfinal on March 6 inside the UNG Convocation Center.

- All five UNG starters finished in double figures, led by Julianne Sutton's 15 points. Vanessa Agrusa earned a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.

- North Georgia shot over 53 percent from the floor while holding Clayton State to just 32 percent.

UNG will take on Georgia College on Saturday afternoon inside the UNG Convocation Center on Senior Day. Tipoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
