FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The No. 15 University of North Georgia women's basketball team had 10 players in the scoring column as they took down Emmanuel, 73-51, Friday evening to kick off the 2019-20 season.
After falling behind, 17-15, in the first quarter, North Georgia went on a 7-0 run midway through the second quarter to take the lead for good. The Nighthawks would stretch the lead to as many as 23 before earning the 22-point win.

Kyra Davis led three Nighthawks in double figures with 12 points in her UNG debut.

Abbie Franklin scored 11 and 10, respectively.
- North Georgia shot above 50 percent from the floor. The Nighthawks have won their last 21 games when shooting over 50 percent from the floor, including each game last year when doing so.
