DAHLONEGA - Starting the game on a 14-0 run, the No. 15 University of North Georgia women's basketball team used a 23-point performance from
Kyra Davis to get past Chowan, 82-67, Friday night in the second game of the UNG Nighthawk Classic.
The Nighthawks did not allow a point until the 3:31 mark in the first quarter and extended the lead to 22 points by the end of the first quarter, 27-5. Chowan clawed back into the game, cutting the lead to as few as four points midway through the fourth quarter, but UNG used an 8-0 run to hold on for the win.
NOTES
- Davis finished the game 9-for-13 from the floor and 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

Julianne Sutton also had a 20-point night, while
Faith Arthur was the third Nighthawk in double-figures with 13 points.
- North Georgia finished with 58 rebounds on the day, 22 on the offensive glass. UNG had a +25 rebound margin.
- In the first game of the Nighthawk Classic, Tusculum defeated Georgia College, 76-52.
