WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Three second-half goals put the match out of reach as the University of North Georgia men's soccer team fell to No. 9 Palm Beach Atlantic Friday night, 4-0, at PBA's Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
After the first half went scoreless for nearly 40 minutes, the Sailfish found the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead. PBA scored again in the 61st minute to double their lead.
As the game drew closer to conclusion, the Sailfish took advantage of forward numbers from UNG to score twice in the final moments of the match to earn the season-opening win.
NOTES
- North Georgia was outshot by the Sailfish, 25-12.
Prince Domafriyie led UNG in shots with five.
- PBA's Timo Knull had a goal and two assists in the game.
