Sutton Posts Career High as No. 14 Women's Basketball Rolls Past Bobcats

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - Sophomore Julianne Sutton notched a career-high 30 points and Tamera Thorpe had her first double-double in a Nighthawk uniform as the No. 14 University of North Georgia women's basketball team swept through the PBC / Conference Carolinas Challenge with a 78-47 win over Lees-McRae Saturday afternoon.

For the second day in a row, UNG trailed after the first quarter by a single point but would storm back in the remaining three quarters to earn the lopsided win.

Sutton finished 11-for-17 from the floor, including her first collegiate three-pointer, on her way to the career mark.

- The Nighthawks shot over 43 percent from the field while holding Lees-McRae to under 24 percent.

- UNG turned the Bobcats over 18 times for 28 points off those turnovers.
