DAHLONEGA - Adam Farrell scored twice and two seniors found goals as well as the University of North Georgia men's soccer team defeated Georgia Southwestern in front of a record-shattering crowd of 909 fans Wednesday night, 5-3. The Nighthawks improve to 7-6-0 with the win.

"Tonight was a good night to get three points in front of the great crowd," said head men's soccer coach Pat Parris. "Our seniors have bought in and really built a great foundation that put us back in contention."

Daniel Bennett scored the match's first goal at the 12-minute mark when Jordan Day sent a free kick to the back post and Bennett's head to put UNG up, 1-0. Carl Ludwig Eriksson doubled the Nighthawk lead in the 21st minute off a rebound after Gabriel Garcia fired a shot in.

Farrell scored the next two goals, the first off a penalty kick and the second from 25 yards out that put UNG up, 4-0, at the time.

After Farrell's second goal, three goals were scored in a span of 62 seconds. Silvio Polly scored for the Canes before Garcia scored a goal for the Nighthawks to make the score 5-1. Jonathan Sayers was then able to score just 15 seconds after Garcia to cut the match to three goals. Polly scored another goal in the 83rd minute to bring the match to its final score.

NOTES
- The Nighthawks took 21 shots in the match, the second-most of the season. Farrell led UNG with seven shots.

- UNG is now 13-1 against the Canes in program history and has won seven straight in the series.

- Zach Tibbs, Daniel Bennett, Rahmy Baky, Carl Ludwig Eriksson, Ivan Acimovic, Daniel Joyce and Michael Akin were all honored as part of Senior Night after the match's conclusion.
