Box Score DAHLONEGA | The University of North Georgia baseball team reached the 30-win mark for the 14th time in program history as the Nighthawks finished off the three-game sweep of Emmanuel, 11-2, on Sunday afternoon. The Nighthawks finish the regular season at 30-19.

Neither team was able to score until the third inning.
Trevor Sams got the scoring started for the Nighthawks with his 20th double of the year, one that knocked in
Sam Tidaback. Two batters later,
Connor Hoover singled to left to allow Sams to cross home and put UNG up, 2-0.

After loading the bases to lead off the fourth, the Nighthawks were able to push two more runs across when
Devin Gearhart and Tidaback were hit by pitches. UNG scored a single run in the fifth on a fielder's choice to stretch the lead to 5-0.

The Lions put their first run of the game on the board in the sixth when Stephen Skeggs singled through the left side to cut the Nighthawk lead to 5-1, but UNG answered in the bottom of the inning, scoring two runs in the inning. After a bunt single to lead off the inning from
Joshua Profit, Sams brought him home on a single to center.
Steven Tomlinson came across in the inning as well on a failed pickoff attempt to put UNG up, 7-1.

North Georgia put two more on the board in the seventh as Gearhart and
Ryan Tomita both earned a RBI. The Lions scored their final run in the eighth, but it was answered by two more Nighthawk runs, highlighted by a
Taylor Jones single to center that brought the game to its final 11-2 score.

Brandon Agar (7-4) earned the win for UNG, striking out eight in 6.1 innings of work. He scattered six hits and gave up just one run.

- Sams, Tomlinson and Hoover combined to go 7-for-15 with four RBI, four runs scored and two doubles.

- North Georgia completed its fourth sweep over Emmanuel in the series and now holds a 20-3 advantage over the Lions.

NEXT UP
North Georgia will learn its Peach Belt Conference fate next weekend with Francis Marion and Flagler playing each other next weekend. The two teams currently sit in a tie for seventh.
