DAHLONEGA, Ga. — The University of North Georgia women's basketball team continued its hot start to the 2016-17 season with a 65-45 victory over Emmanuel (Ga.) Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hall. The Nighthawks improve to 4-0 on the year with the win.
The game got off to a sloppy start offensively as the first basket didn't come until the 6:21 mark when EC's Timia Reynolds scored on a jumper to give the Lions a 2-0 lead, back-to-back field goals by
Jordan Livesay in the next minute would give the Nighthawks the lead that they would never relinquish. UNG would carry a 14-point advantage into the half and ultimately win by 20.

Jordan Livesay led all scorers with 17 points and also collected 11 boards for UNG's first double-double of the season.

- North Georgia outscored Emmanuel 20-10 in the paint.
