DAHLONEGA | The University of North Georgia men's soccer team threatened throughout but could not break through, falling to Eckerd, 1-0, Saturday afternoon at the UNG Soccer Complex. The Nighthawks are now 1-2-1 on the season.
Matheus Assumpcao scored the game-winning goal for the Tritons in the 15-th minute off of two quick passes inside the box from Juan David Tejada and Wyeth Leemon, to put the ball in on the far post not giving UNG keeper
Victor Ohlin a chance for the save.
NOTES- UNG is 1-1 in one-goal decisions having won Thursday's home opener, 2-1.
- Today's game was the first time the Nighthawks had been shutout at home since Oct. 4 of last season when No. 22 Francis Marion defeated UNG, 3-0.
- UNG only had two shots on goal despite having 15 attempts overall.
