DAHLONEGA | Four Nighthawk batters collected multiple hits in Sunday's rubber game against Pfeiffer as the University of North Georgia baseball team went on to win in dominating fashion, 12-2, to take the series victory. UNG now stands at 2-2 on the young season.

Bo Edwards and
Connor Hoover all led UNG at the plate with three runs batted in coming from each player.
Pfeiffer got onto the board first when Izzy Perez came home to score on a 6-4-3 double play to give the Falcons a 1-0 advantage in the second inning.
The Nighthawks struck back in the third with three runs, including a two-run homer over the left field wall from
Bo Edwards. UNG added two more in the fourth with RBI hits from Hoover and Cecere.
North Georgia broke the game open in the fifth with four runs off a pair of two-run doubles from Hoover and Cecere. The Nighthawks would add two more in the seventh to take an 11-1 lead.

Tom Cantrell used the opportunity to work a pinch hitter into the game in the bottom of the eighth as senior transfer
Taylor Jones made his way to the plate, seeking his first collegiate hit. Jones got what he was looking for a blasted a towering shot to straightaway center giving the Nighthawks a 12-1 lead off the homer.
The Falcons would add a run in the top of the ninth with a pinch-hit two-out RBI double from Zach Scudder.
Jacob Beauchamp (1-0) earned the win for UNG with 4.0 innings of relief, only allowing one hit and one walk with four strikeouts, keeping Pfeiffer off the board in the frames he worked.
Keith Little (0-1) was tagged with his first loss of the year, going the first 3.1 for the Falcons allowing five earned runs on seven hits.
North Georgia will head to Central, S.C., on Tuesday, Feb. 10, to take on Southern Wesleyan. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
