CENTRAL, S.C. | The University of North Georgia baseball team fell, 6-3, to Southern Wesleyan Tuesday afternoon at Connor Field. UNG is now 2-3 on the season.

The Warriors took a one-run lead in the bottom of the first, but the Nighthawks struck back in the top of the second inning.
Joey Cecere knocked in two runs with his single to right that scored
Connor Hoover and
Cameron Crawford.
Steven Tomlinson knocked in Cecere from second with his RBI single through the left side that gave the Nighthawks the 3-1 lead.

Southern Wesleyan answered right back however, scoring four runs in the bottom of the second to retake the lead, 5-3. The Warriors added their sixth and final run in the seventh.

Logan Burt (0-1) was tagged with the loss allowing five runs, four earned, on three hits, while picking up three strikeouts in his 3.0 innings.

Andrew Howard (1-0) got the win for the Warriors with 5.0 shutout innings of relief, allowing only two hits and striking out five.

North Georgia returns to action on Friday, in the series opener against Indianapolis at Bob Stein Stadium. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
