MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | The University of North Georgia women's basketball team had its eight-game winning streak snapped with a 64-55 Peach Belt Conference loss at Georgia College on Saturday afternoon in GC's Centennial Center.  UNG was led by Cierra Jackson, who finished the game with 15 points and seven rebounds.

GC led by seven, 32-25, at the break and extended the lead with an 11-2 run to open the second half.

LaRice Walker led GC with 17 points and nine rebounds.  Enisha Donley and Shanteona Keys added 15 and 12 respectively for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats (13-10, 9-7 PBC) managed to hold Stephanie Huffman to just 13 points, who came in averaging a league-best 20.8 points on the season.  The senior guard was limited to four-of-12 from the floor, but extended her streak of double-figure scoring games to 33.

Kaylee Akin added 10 points, including two-of-three from behind the three-point line. It marked only the second time the sophomore guard has scored in double figures.

North Georgia (20-5, 12-4 PBC) caps a three-game road trip on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at USC Aiken.  Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m.
