Cierra Jackson recorded double-doubles Saturday afternoon as the University of North Georgia women's basketball team defeated the Catawba Indians, 72-61, in the final game of the UNG Nighthawk Classic.

The Nighthawks jumped out to an 11-point lead early in the first half before Catawba fought back to lead by one at halftime.

After the Indians stretched their lead to four early in the third quarter, North Georgia clawed back and went on a 15-4 run through the beginning of the fourth quarter and never looked back on its way to an 11-point win.

NOTES- North Georgia improves to 4-0 with the win, while Catawba falls to 2-3.

- Livesay led the Nighthawks in scoring with 17 points to go with 10 rebounds. Jackson tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds as well.

Kelsey Hutchins and
Kaylee Akin also scored in double figures for the Nighthawks with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

- Bri Johnson led the Indians in scoring with 15 points, and Terri Rogers added 13.

- Georgia College defeated Trevecca Nazarene 82-56 in the third game of the UNG Nighthawk Classic.

STAT OF THE NIGHT60% (6-10) – North Georgia shot 60% from behind the arc, including Livesay's 3-for-3 performance.
Lauren Pounds made the other three shots from distance going 3-for-4.
