CARROLLTON, Ga. | Cierra Jackson recorded her second consecutive double-double as the University of North Georgia women's basketball team cruised to a 67-54 win over the University of West Georgia Tuesday night in The Colisuem on the campus of UWG.

Julie McKie hit a three-point basket in the first 11 seconds of the contest and the Nighthawks never trailed after that point with the score only being tied once at 3-3.

NOTES
- Jackson finished with a team-high 22 points and 16 rebounds, which is good for her third double-double of the year. She added six of the team's eight steals as well.

- The Nighthawks have won their first five games of the season for the second year in a row. Last year, North Georgia started 6-0 before dropping a game to Lenoir-Rhyne.

- Kelsey Hutchins had 17 points off the bench for the Nighthawks and Molly Rainwater added 15 on 5-for-9 shooting from behind the three-point arc.

- UNG still trails in the all-time series with the Wolves 11-6, but the Nighthawks have now won two straight in the series. The last time these two met prior to tonight was in 2006 when North Georgia defeated West Georgia 68-44.
