FLORENCE, S.C. | In soggy and wet conditions, the Francis Marion University men's soccer team posted its third consecutive shutout with a 3-0 win over the University of North Georgia. The loss drops the Nighthawks to 1-7-1 overall and 0-2-0 in Peach Belt Conference play.
After taking a 1-0 lead into the break, the host Patriots were able to tack on a pair of insurance goals in the second frame to secure their sixth victory of the season.
Francis Marion outshot UNG 18-9, but none of the Nighthawks' attempts forced a save from the Patriot keeper. FMU also held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Carl Ludwig Eriksson was the only player to record multiple shots for the Nighthawk offense.
NOTES- Today's loss was the sixth consecutive for North Georgia.
