DAHLONEGA | Brittany Truitt of the University of North Georgia women's cross country team has been selected as the
Campus Cash Nighthawk of the Week for November 24. The weekly honor is sponsored by UNG Card Services.
Truitt was the top finisher for the Nighthawks at the 2014 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional on Saturday, crossing the line with a 6K time of 23:02 (8
th place).
By virtue of her top-25 finish, Truitt was honored as a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) All-Region selection.
The Nighthawks will next compete in the NCAA Division II National Championship on Saturday, Dec. 6 at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. during the Division II Festival, hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission and Bellarmine University.
The Campus Cash Nighthawk of the Week honor is the second of the season for Truitt.
