Second Half Surge Sends Nighthawks Past Erskine, 95-80

TIGERVILLE, South Carolina | The University of North Georgia women's basketball team erupted for 56 second-half points to erase a nine point halftime deficit and cruise to victory over Erskine, 95-80. Senior guard Stephanie Huffman paced the Nighthawks with 27 shots on the night, including a 15-for-16 mark at the charity stripe.

Huffman completed the double-double with a game-best 15 rebounds as the Nighthawks held a decisive 59 to 41 edge on the glass.

After trailing the Flying Fleet, 48-39, at the break, North Georgia found multiple hot hands in the second half shooting 35 percent from the field, which included conversion on 44 percent of the team's three-point attempts in the half.

Huffman was not the only Nighthawk to post great numbers at the line, as UNG shot 92 percent on free throws for the night, including 11-of-12 from Cierra Jackson, who finished with 17 points on the night. The junior point guard rounded out her own double-double with 11 rebounds.

Jordan Livesay added 15 points including three of six from behind the three-point line while Molly Rainwater added 14 points for North Georgia.

Erskine's Raygon Hendrix led the way for the Flying Fleet with a team-best 20 points.
