SAVANNAH, Georgia | The 15th ranked University of North Georgia women's soccer team continued its strong play Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Peach Belt rival Armstrong (6-3-0, 2-2-0 PBC). With the win the Nighthawks improve to 9-1-0 on the year and remain perfect in conference action at 3-0-0.

North Georgia struck first with freshman forward
Brynn Finneran scoring her second goal in as many games with an unassisted knock past the keeper to the far post in just the second minute of action.

Rachel VanHorn padded the UNG lead with a goal blasted from the top of the box in the 64th minute on a beautiful through-ball from
Sophia Matonak.

Shots were fairly even overall on the day with UNG holding a slight advantage, 14-13. The Nighthawks however put eight shots on goal, while the Pirates only shot four on frame.

Mallory Sayre improves to 9-1-0 on goal this season for North Georgia, recording four saves in her 10th start.

UNG remains one of only three teams to claim a perfect record thus far in Peach Belt play.

The Nighthawks will return home Wednesday to face Montevallo inside the friendly confines of the UNG Soccer Complex. Kickoff for the game is set for 5 p.m.
