Daum is in his fourth season at the University of North Georgia after being brought on in the fall of 2021. He serves as the department's Athletics Healthcare Administrator, drug testing coordinator and insurance coordinator. In August of 2024, Daum accepted additional responsibilities under his new title as the Assistant Athletic Director, Sports Medicine & Performance where he will provide leadership to both the Sports Medicine and Sports Performance units.
Daum came to Dahlonega after a six-year stint at Point University where he served in the same position for the last five years. In addition to overseeing the athletic training for the Skyhawks’ 19 athletic programs, he also worked as a tactical athletic trainer for the West Point Police Department for two years.
 
Prior to his time at Point, Daum obtained his master’s degree in teaching with a concentration in physical education from West Alabama where he also served as a graduate assistant in the athletic training department. He also served as a department intern in sports medicine at Emory in the spring of 2013.
 
Daum earned his Bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Valdosta State as a graduate in the class of 2013. He is a member of the National and Georgia Athletic Trainers’ Associations.
He and his wife Robyn reside in Cleveland, Ga.
