The Latest on Moinard
Ashley Moinard is back in Dahlonega for her senior season after being a major contributor to UNG's historic National Semifinal run in 2024. Primarily playing in the #4 spot in the singles lineup, Moinard simply ran through the competition last season for the Nighthawks. She compiled an astonishing 21-2 record in singles play which included ending the season on a 12-match win streak. Her 21 wins in the season are tied for the second most in a single season in program history. Meanwhile, her .913 singles winning percentage is matched only by her teammate Valentina Ascarrunz for the best singles record in a season in UNG women's tennis history. The highlight of Moinard's season was perhaps when she defeated Academy of Art's Estelle Najean 6-4, 6-2 to clinch the match and send the Nighthawks to the Final Four for the first time in program history,
