How Braman got to UNG
Tessie Braman joined the Nighthawks in 2025 as a freshman from Lookout Mountain, Ga. Braman brought an impressive athletic career from Girls Prep School of Chattanooga with her to Dahlonega. There she was a five-year varsity letter winner and a team captain. In 2020, Braman earned All-State honors while helping lead her team to a 2020 State Championship victory. The following year, Braman herself was crowned a State Champion as a member of her team's 4x800 relay team. She said, "I really liked the how beautiful the campus was! Getting to meet the girls on the cross country team made me excited about the school. I really loved the coach and felt that our values with academics and athletics aligned."
