How Padilla Brun got to UNG
Elizabeth Padilla Brun began competition as a Nighthawk student-athlete with the women's track & field team in the spring campaign of 2024. Padilla Brun originally started her collegiate career at UNG with no intentions of running for either sport. However, as she learned there were spots available on the team, she got back into the sport which she originally competed in at Lambert High School. At Lambert, Padilla Brun got her start in cross country and posted a 21:32.67 time in the 5K. In track & field, she had quality times of 113:58.15 in the 3200-meter and 6:13.94 in the 1600-meter. She also ran a 2:51.07 pace in the 800-meter.
