How Forrester got to UNG
Mallory Forrester, a one-time Peach Belt softball player, transfers back into the PBC this season as the latest member of the UNG softball program. She most recently comes from Santa Fe College out of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in Gainesville, Fla. With the Saints, the right-handed pitcher had an outstanding 1.81 ERA over 178.0 innings pitched last season. She struck out an astonishing 159 batters for an average of 6.25 strikeouts per seven innings. She ranked in the top 30 among all NJCAA D1 pitchers in innings, strikeouts, ERA and WHIP. Prior to her outstanding season at Sante Fe, Forrester began her collegiate career in St. Augustine, Fla. with PBC member Flagler. With the Saints, she pitched in 13 games as a freshman recording 26 strikeouts. Forrester said she chose UNG to "continue my academic and athletic career at a high level program."
