How Miles got to UNG
Jenna Miles joins the Nighthawk softball program this season after an outstanding four-year career Jeff Davis High School in her hometown of Hazlehurst, Ga. With the Yellowjackets, Miles was a three-time all-state selection and a four-time all-region selection. In her junior season, she was selected as First Team All-State and was also named the Region Player of the Year. In that season, Miles hit for a .350 average with 16 RBI, seven doubles and three triples as Jeff Davis went 26-8 on the season. The following season, Miles was a member of Jeff Davis' team that went 34-1 en route to a GHSA 2A State Championship. Miles was also an accomplished athlete in other sports including golf, basketball and track. She was an all-state golfer for the Yellowjackets in her time at Jeff Davis. About UNG Miles said, "UNG gave me a different feeling from all the other schools. This place felt like it could be home."
