Molly Child is entering her third year as assistant coach for the University of North Georgia softball program. Child served as a graduate assistant for the Nighthawks for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Child comes to Dahlonega from Anderson University (S.C.) after a highly acclaimed career with the Trojans.

Child started all 220 games from her freshman year through year senior season and was a three-time First Team All-South Atlantic Conference selection. She received All-Southeast Region honors in her sophomore and junior campaigns. In her sophomore year, Child was named a Daktronics All-American with a .405 clip at the plate that included 13 doubles, 14 home runs, and 53 runs batted in.

The former Trojan played in Dahlonega during her collegiate career as Anderson was in the 2015 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional field, going 1-2 in the four-team tournament.

The LaGrange, Georgia native is a 2016 graduate of Anderson University.
