Martinez is in her second season as a graduate assistant for the UNG softball program. Martinez comes to UNG after serving as an assistant at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, California, for the 2020 season.
Before her stint at CRC, Martinez was a two year letter winner at Missouri-St. Louis, where she helped lead the Tritons to back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances as well as a GLVC Conference Championship her senior season. Throughout her collegiate career that included single years at Southern Utah University (2016) and CRC (2017), Martinez was a four year scholar athlete that hit 29 homers, 189 RBI and 45 doubles.
Martinez was a two-time NFCA and D2CCA second team All-Midwest Region honoree as well as earning All-GLVC honors in both seasons with UMSL. She was born and raised in Sacramento and attended Rio Americano High School where she was an All-League selection, the team MVP and a scholar athlete all four years. Martinez will pursue her M.B.A. at UNG.
