2025 Season 
Cherry appeared in 13 games for the Nighthawks, starting one of them. She posted a .231 batting average in 13 at-bats to go along with three hits, three RBI, and one home run. Cherry also made a brief appearance as a pitcher for the Nighthawks on Feb. 8, 2025 against Lake Erie College, but did not record any statistics in the circle. 

The Road to UNG  
Cherry joined the Nighthawks in 2025 all the way from Saline, Mich. over 650 miles north of Dahlonega. The outfielder comes from Saline High School where she was a four-time First Team All-District Selection. Cherry was a three-year captain of her Hornets team and led both in the locker room and on the field. Her accomplishments include being a four-time All-League Player, a two-time First Team All-Region Selection and a three-time selection to the MLive Dream Team. Cherry also excelled in volleyball, basketball and swim & dive with the Hornets. In the classroom, she graduate on the Gold Honor Roll and was a member of the National Honors Society. Cherry said, "I chose UNG because it checked all my boxes academically and athletically. The culture of the softball program and championship mindset is something I love."
