How Badalament got to UNG
Angelina Badalament joins UNG this season as yet another transfer from the NCAA Division I level. The right-handed pitcher comes from Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, Fla. where she posted a 2.95 ERA in 62.1 innings last season. The Plant City, Fla. native recorded 11 outings in which she allowed one or fewer earned runs. Prior to Bethune-Cookman, Badalament pitched at Seminole State College in the NJCAA. It was there that she was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) First Team All-American in 2022. She was a two-time NFCA All-Region selection and was the NJCAA Player of the Week back on Feb. 14, 2023. Badalament, who primarily serves as a pitcher but has recorded a number of collegiate at bats as well, says her favorite thrill in sports is "pitching a shutout or hitting a home run."
