How Walter got to UNG
Brianna Walter joins the Nighthawks this season as a freshman from Suwannee, Ga. UNG is already very familiar with the Walter name as Brianna joins her older sister, Elysa, who is currently a junior in the Nighthawk rifle program. Elysa Walter currently holds the program Smallbore, Air Rifle and Aggregate scoring records after a breakout season last year. Brianna joins her sister with an already impressive winning pedigree from her high school days at Tallulah Falls. While in high school, Walter took first place at the 2023 Winter Air Gun U18 competition. In 2024, she was a member of a Tallulah Falls team that finished in second place in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) 3 Position Air Rifle State Championship. Walter finished in fifth place as an individual. Walter also participated in volleyball, basketball, martial arts, ballet, soccer and skateboarding while growing up.
