How Prince got to UNG
Jake Prince comes to Dahlonega with a very impressive resume from his high school days at nearby North Forsyth High School. The Cumming, Ga. product was named as the 2024 Forsyth County Baseball Player of the Year as a senior. He was named to the Forsyth County First Team All-Region in his junior and sophomore years while earning a Gold Glove Award as a sophomore and an All-State selection as a junior. He's one of eight high school commits to UNG's 2024 recruiting class which ranked as No. 8 among NCAA DII schools via Perfect Game (PG). The baseball outlet also ranked Prince as one of the top 500 high school players in the country and one of the top 300 shortstops. Jake's mom, Melanie, is a former student of UNG and her son says it "felt like home as soon as I stepped on campus."
