How Millar got to UNG
Tanner Millar joined the Nighthawks in 2024 after a standout career at Fernandina Beach High School in Fernandina Beach, Fla. Millar made three appearances in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) boys' golf state tournament while at Fernandina Beach. In 2022, he finished T22 to help his team to a T8 finish which preceded a T32 individual and T9 team finish in the same tournament in 2021. He also succeeded in the Jacksonville Amateur with a top-15 finish while winning the Kingsland Classic. Millar also played baseball at Fernandina Beach and is a member of an already successful athletic family. Millar's sister, Maddie, is a current member of the UNG women's basketball team after transferring from North Florida where she was named the ASUN Freshman of the Week back in January of 2023.
